In all our childcare courses, you'll learn about the growth and development of young children, job roles within Early Years Education and how to provide activities to help children develop. You will also gain personal learning skills, an awareness of equality, health and safety, and communication. Learners receive great tuition and support throughout the course, which will include a variety of coursework and case studies. At higher levels, learners focus on safeguarding the welfare of children, exploring how early learning and healthy diet play an important role in the developmental, emotional and physical wellbeing of children, as well as exploring the various accident prevention and fire safety methods. At Level 3, you'll learn how to meet all of the physical, social, and emotional needs of children under 5 whilst also gaining knowledge of how best to work with children aged 5-7. You'll explore how to support a healthy lifestyle through nutrition and exercise, how to promote children's speech and language skills, as well as gaining other vital knowledge regarding safeguarding and health and safety legislation.

The Level 3 childcare qualification is the leading standard in early years' education. Set against the Early Years Foundation Stages (EYFS) framework, it provides key training to work with children below the age of 5, as well as an in-depth understanding of youngsters up to 7 years old.
